Bug in Twitter not being handled

I noticed a bug in Twitter, so I submitted a “request”:

I type this query in the search box on twitter.com and it works fine:

near:Groningen,Groningen,NL within:10mi -RT -from:huizengroningen

When I type the same query in http://twitter.com/goodies/widget_search I get nothing.

A Twitter bot closed the request immediately, with a message that there are issues with people search, and that this is being handled.

But this isn’t about people search. So I commented on it to reopen the request.

Twitter closes the request again, giving four possible reasons, for me to figure out which applies:

  • The problem you reported has been fixed

No, it’s still there.

  • You filed a duplicate request and we’re working on an open one, or we solved your issue in another request

Does not apply.

Checked the list again, and it’s still not there.

The issue is not mentioned there either.

So, what do I do now? There seems to be a problem in Twitter search if you use the api (it works fine on the site itself), and I would really like to use this. Does anyone know of a solution, either a work-around, or a way to get Twitter to notice there is a problem?
